The work of the Gospel is invisible, yet real St. Peter Worship at Key to Life Saturday, June 23rd

Welcome to St. Peter! Gospel is like a tiny mustard seed. At first it appears too tiny to do anything, but when it is planted, its growth is astounding! So is God’s kingdom. We ask God’s blessings on the Gospel seed in your heart that you may grow in faith.

Welcome to St. Peter! There are friendship registers at the end of each row of chairs. Please take a moment to give us your information so that we have a record of your time with us today. Thank you!

For Our Guests If you have questions, let us try to help. Speak with an usher, greeter, or the person next to you. If you’d like to learn more about St. Peter and its ministry, please talk to a pastor or member after the service.

We express unity with our Savior and those who share our faith and stand on the teachings of God’s Word. Therefore, we invite to our altar those who are members of our church or the WELS. Children’s Message

Good News of God Above CW #568 Verses 1-4 Text: Timothy Dudley-Smith, b Setting: DOUSMAN Tune: Kermit G. Moldenhauer, b. 1949

Verse 1: Good news of God above is ours to tell abroad, The Father's everlasting love in Christ the risen Lord. For neighbors near and far the seed of life is sown; Then spread the seed by word and deed to make the Savior known.

Verse 2: The love of Christ proclaim who left his home on high; To live our human life he came, our human death to die. The Father's only Son became the sinners friend, Our lot to share, our sin to bear, and death's dominion end.

Verse 3: The Lord of Glory lives! From cross and death and grave His own abundant life he gives to those he died to save. His righteousness and peace declare from sea to sea; His praises sound the world around for Christ has made us free.

Verse 4: Hear now the Master's word to those who bear his name: "So send I you; till all have heard, Make known, declare, proclaim!" Go forth in all the earth; Embrace the path he trod With Christ beside as friend and guide to bring good news of God.

“ Tiny Beginnings – TREMENDOUS RESULTS!” 1.That’s how God’s kingdom starts 2.That’s what God’s kingdom becomes

Nicene Creed All: We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all that is, seen and unseen.

Nicene Creed All: We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, of one being with the Father.

Nicene Creed All: Through him all things were made. For us and for our salvation, he came down from heaven, was incarnate of the Holy Spirit and the virgin Mary, and became fully human.

Nicene Creed All: For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate. He suffered death and was buried. On the third day he rose again in accordance with the Scriptures.

Nicene Creed All: He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end.

Nicene Creed All: We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son, who in unity with the Father and the Son is worshiped and glorified,

Nicene Creed All: who has spoken through the prophets. We believe in one holy Christian and apostolic Church. We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.

Nicene Creed All: We look for the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come. Amen.

In thankfulness for our salvation, we support God’s work with our offerings.

Pastor: Hear the prayer of your people, O Lord, that the lips which have praised you here may glorify you in the world, that the eyes which have seen the coming of your Son may long for his coming again, and that all who have received in his true body and blood the pledge of your forgiveness may be restored to live a new and holy life, through Jesus Christ, our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. All (Sung): Amen.

“Ancient Words”

Verse 1: Holy words, long preserved, for our walk in this world; They resound with God’s own heart, Oh let the ancient words impart. Words of life, words of hope, give us strength, help us cope; In this world wheree’er we roam. Ancient words will guide us home.

Refrain: Ancient words, ever true, changing me and changing you; We have come with open hearts, Oh let the ancient words impart.

Verse 2: Holy words of our faith handed down to this age; Came to us through sacrifice, Oh heed the faithful words of Christ. Ancient words, long preserved, for our walk in this world; They resound with God’s own heart, Oh let the ancient words impart.

Refrain 2X: Ancient words, ever true, changing me and changing you; We have come with open hearts, Oh let the ancient words impart.
