    The ant and the dove

An ant went to a fountain for a drink of water An ant went to a fountain for a drink of water. She tumbled in and almost drowned.

A dove, sitting in a nearby tree, saw the ant in danger A dove, sitting in a nearby tree, saw the ant in danger. She plucked off a leaf and dropped it right in front of the ant. The tiny creature climbed onto the leaf and was saved.

Some time later, a bird catcher was about to catch the dove with his net.The ant, seeing what was going to happen, crawled up the bird catcher's foot and bit him. This made the bird catcher drop his trap and let out a loud yell. The dove heard his cries and she flew away to safety.

The moral of the story is: One good turn deserves another. Do onto others as you'd like them to do unto you.
