Relationships

Relationships between Group 1 and Group 2 Chapters 18 to 22 provide guidelines for recording relationships between Group 1 entities (i.e., work, expression, manifestation, and item) and Group 2 entities (i.e., person, family and corporate body). Chapter 17 of RDA is not currently being applied.

Relationships between Group 1 and Group 2 Relationships are expressed by providing an identifier or an authorized access point for the person, family or corporate body In the MARC environment, designators are added in subfield $e at the end of authorized access points. When a serial publication has a change in responsibility that does not require a new description, additional access points for Group 2 entities associated with later issues (e.g., different issuing bodies for later issue of journal) can be given.
