Pledge of Allegiance I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America. And to the republic for which it stands, one nation, under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all.

Meaning Behind the Words “I pledge” – I promise “allegiance” – to be true or loyal So the Pledge of Allegiance really says: “I promise to be true and loyal to the flag of the United States of America. And to the republic for which it stands, one nation, under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all.”

American Flag The American flag is made up of 3 colors: ~ red – stands for the blood that was shed for our country ~ white – stands for the purity of our country ~ blue – stands for the perseverance of our country

American Flag The American flag has 50 stars. The 50 stars stand for the 50 states. The 13 stripes represent the first 13 states of our country.
