La Navidad en Mexico This is a presentation to explain Mexican Christmas traditions Holiday celebrations begin on December 16. Holiday celebrations last until February 2. 16 2 Kathryn Moody

Las Celebraciones Kathryn Moody

Las Posadas Processions begin on the 16th and last until the 24th Parties are held every night in different homes and people celebrate the journey that Mary and Joseph took looking for lodging (Posada). Kathryn Moody

Las Posadas Las Posadas last for 9 nights. People go to a different house each night and have a fiesta. They sing, dance, eat and break a piñata. Kathryn Moody

La Noche Buena The Posadas end on the 24th (La Nochebuena). Everyone goes to mass at midnight (La Misa del Gallo). Families gather and have a feast after mass. Kathryn Moody
