The Great Day of Pentecost Great Savior Proclaimed 1.Jesus had advised the apostles to keep the fact that He was the Christ quiet until “the Son of Man is raised from the dead.” (Matthew 17:9) 2.Now, on the Day of Pentecost, Peter and the others boldly proclaim that Jesus is the Christ, the Savior of all men. The Lift of Christ (2:22) The Sacrifice of Christ (2:23, 36) The Burial of Christ. The Resurrection of Christ. –He had power over death. (2:24) –He fulfilled the promise made to David. (2:25-28) Jesus is now Lord and King! (2:34-36)
