7 Why Are We Doing This Now? It takes time to put on a quality B&G dinner – Select date, time and location – Plan the dinner – Plan the program – Plan decorations – Plan Publicity – Execute the plan – Review the results

8 Planning Dates July – Set the date and time at annual Pack planning conference Sept-Oct: – Recruit committee sub-chairs for: Physical arrangements Invitations Program Dinner Nov: – Locations selected and reservations made – Subcommittees start work – Book speakers, special guests if necessary

9 January – Week 1 B&G committee meets with Den Leaders to give directions for decorations, programs, invite info, etc. Dinner committee decisions made Entertainment booked or assigned

10 January – Week 2 Dens: – Start work on decorations – Start planning skits, etc, if Dens doing them

11 January – Weeks 3 & 4 Special guest invites mailed Family invites sent Firm up all arrangements Check that plans are going as planned

12 February – Week Before Print agendas Deadline for RSVP’s – Let food comm. know how many Make seating chart Verify Dens are ready Setup committee verifies everything ready to go Cubmaster or chair makes sure everything is ready for program

13 Banquet Day Setup committee goes into action Decorations are placed Doors are open HAVE FUN !!!
