Develop correct & age appropriate vocal technique for the students Develop and enhance musical skills in notation and sight singing Recognize musical elements and demonstrate expressive qualities in varying styles of choral music as well as acquire the knowledge of its connection to history, culture, and other arts.

“Storytelling through Music & Literature” Each choir is learning choral songs based upon outstanding Literature compositions Each choir will likely perform a Musical Theatre selection as it is the ultimate American ‘Storytelling” Working in co-ordination with the EHS Literature Dept for in-depth study

Large Group Performance Evaluation Required to stay in-district – Cumming, GA Take 4-5 groups Women, Elite, Schola Cantorum, and Men’s Choir (Chamber) Only chance for adjudication on both ensemble singing and sight-singing New workshop
Spring Cabaret Auditions held late March once the Musical is completed Event will be catered by local company Students ‘actors’ will be needed as servers also
Likely to be held off-site ‘Around the World in 80 Minutes’ – including traditional/folk music from countries around the world including United States, South America, Africa, Europe, and Asia. Experts from various countries will do seminars with the students and possibly join us on instruments in the concert Working with EHS Social Studies Dept
