Neutral and Complementary Colors Complementary Colors are located directly opposite each other on the color wheel, i.e. red and green, blue and orange, etc. Neutral Colors can be made by mixing com- plementary colors or by mixing the warm and cool colors together.

Monochromatic Color Scheme Mono means one. Chromatic means color. A monochromatic color scheme is one color with all its tints and shades.

Analogous Color Scheme Analogous Color schemes consist of four colors side by side on the color wheel with each one containing a common hue. The common hue will be a primary color.

HueHue: The classification or name of a color. ValueValue: The amount of light or dark contained in the color ranging from black to white. IntensityIntensity: The strength or weakness (brightness or dullness) of a color.
