Salir en una cita Going out on a date

Antes de preguntar Before asking someone out on a date, you need to ask how they are doing. How do you ask someone how are you doing? Once you check in with the person and they have as well, you ask the question.

¿Te gustaría…? This is the question primarily used by native speakers. A verb always follows gustaría. Don’t forget to specify a time.

¡Por ejemplo! ¿Te gustaría ir al cine este viernes? Would you like to go to the cinema this Friday? ¿Te gustaría comer tacos en Taco Bell hoy a las cinco y media? Would you like to eat tacos at Taco Bell today at 5:30?

Remember chicos… You know how to specify time (e.g. this weekend, at 4:00 p.m. this Friday, this Friday at 4, etc Use your vocab. sheet for activities! Or ask Señor García so you may write it in your notes.

Responding to the question When asked to do an activity you may respond with: – Me encantaría: I’d love to – ¡Claro que sí: Of course! – Sí, ¿cuándo?: Yes, when? (if person has not specified when)

Responding to the question… But if you do not want to, respond with this: – Gracias, pero no puedo: Thanks, but I can’t. – Lo siento, pero no tengo tiempo: Sorry, but I don’t have any time to spare. – Tal vez otro día: Perhaps another day.

¡Mira Señor García en acción!
