What is a constellation? A constellation is a figure formed by a group of stars.

What is a circumpolar constellation? A circumpolar constellation is a constellation that can be seen all year long..

Meet a circumpolar constellation A circumpolar constellation is a constellation that can be seen all year. The circumpolar constellation to the left is Draco.

It is also known as ( The Dragon) He's thought to be the dragon slayed by Hercules.

Stars that make up Draco Draco's brightest stars are Eltennin, the second brightest star is Rastaban, the least brightest star is Altais. Using MS Paint or Kids Pix draw your constellation & point out the brightest star & the three brightest stars.

Where can you find Draco in the sky? Look between Ursa Major and Ursa Minor. Then look to the left and you'll find Cepheus. 17 h. RA +65º Declination Draco is associated with the draconids shower which happens each year. It happens around the tenth. Cepheus Ursa minor Ursa major Draco

Story of Draco Story Draco was slayed by Hercules while Hercules was trying to steal some apples from the garden of Hesperide. Hercules then grabbed him by the tail and threw him into the sky. His body then wrapped around the axis of the world, also known as the celestial north pole.
