This pain is shared equally across the value-chain; Productivity is a critical issue. Neutral packaging items offer more flexibility; Strong demand for sustainable solutions.

Page 4 © ALTECH SRL, March 2009 LINERLESS ADHESIVE MATERIAL - PMH PMH is the IRPLAST linerless adhesive material made up of a BOPP matt, coated with a permanent hot melt solvent-free adhesive. It is fully coated on all the reverse surface. It has been developed to obtain linerless labels for product identification (typically with a bar code), labels that can be printed by thermo transfer technology. White or reverse printed colour options are available. Among the printed solutions, the reverse printed allows obtaining labels with high scratch-proof resistance. Thickness (μm) Length 900 m Item codeOD min OD max PMH mm319 mm

Page 5 © ALTECH SRL, March 2009 BAR CODES READABILITY WARRANTY Thermo transfer printing technology and quality ribbons are matched with the blank media to give clarity, durability and consistency of print with proven scuff resistance. Bar code images readability is guaranteed, meeting the most stringent retail requirements. LINERLESS ADHESIVE MATERIAL - PMH

Page 6 © ALTECH SRL, March 2009 WHY TO GO LINERLESS… LABELS COST SAVING 15% to 30% consumable cost saving, respect to self-adhesive traditional labels. Eliminating the liner ends the collection and disposal of liner waste (non recyclable); all the material is used. Moreover, reductions in media dimension and weight, evidently save transport and storage costs.

Page 9 © ALTECH SRL, March 2009 ADVANCED MANAGEMENT MODEL – ISO Pro-active companies (they could also be precursors or innovators) see in the element “environment” a critical factor for the success and an important competitive lever. They have the ambitious target to progressively minimize their impact on the environment, up to almost eliminate it. This is with the convinction that long term benefits will be much higher then costs, simply because they are just anticipating the inevitable evolution of environmental laws. ENVIRONMENTALLY SUSTAINABLE

Page 10 © ALTECH SRL, March 2009 ADVANCED MANAGEMENT MODEL – ISO Introduces clean technologies that respect to others prevalent in a specific period, have a reduced impact on the environment; - Realizes evident energy consumption reductions; -Modifies the packaging (materials used for the packaging) in order to make it more eco-compatible; -Uses re-usable packaging; -Replaces materials with others non toxic, more recyclables/renewables; -Finds with attention new market opportunities for raw materials and sells waste, scraps, parts of used products iternally unusefull; -Communicates outside, actions made towards the environment and improvements achieved. ENVIRONMENTALLY SUSTAINABLE

Page 11 © ALTECH SRL, March 2009 ADVANCED MANAGEMENT MODEL – ISO EN 13428:2004 Packaging - Requirements specific to manufacturing and composition - Prevention by source reduction. Carton waste disposal allows different material contamination up to 10% of the total weight. The application of BOPP film based labels on shrink wraps and palletts allows to completely recycle the film waste (plastic on plastic). ENVIRONMENTALLY SUSTAINABLE

Page 12 © ALTECH SRL, March 2009 CARTIERA DI FAGNANO SPA Fagnano, Italy: “The waste paper we recycle is very much contaminated by plastic and aluminium (laminated). During the pulp preparation in the “pulper”, we obtain the separation of the contaminating materials from the carton fibres mass. These materials are then extracted and then pressed to be shipped to the incinerator. The percentage of the pulp contamination fixes its purchasing price (€/ton)”. ENVIRONMENTALLY SUSTAINABLE

Page 13 © ALTECH SRL, March 2009 ALcode LL LINERLESS PRINT APPLY LABELLER A significant value innovation, for the AutoID labelling market, thanks to a new and modern technology: Linerless = reels of continuous adhesive materials, without liner and die-cutting.
