Bonnethead Shark By Nash and Lorenz

 The Bonnethead’s teeth, in the front of it’s mouth, are small, sharp teeth. there are bigger teeth, in the back of its mouth, for crushing prey.  The size of the Bonnethead Shark is average about 3.3 feet long.  The Bonnethead’s head is smooth, rounded and shaped like A shovel. .

 It eats both hard shelled prey, like crustaceans and mollusks, and soft prey like small fish.  It lives in western Atlantic and eastern Pacific oceans, in the surf zones, around reefs, on sandy bottoms and eastuaries.  They give birth in shallow bays to 8 to 16 pups. Each pup is about 14 inches long.  It is a harmless, timid shark.  The average Bonnethead Shark is also known as the Shovelhead Shark

We like the Bonnethead Shark because it’s harmless to humans.
