Mission Statement The objectives of the CLUB shall be to foster a close relationship among the DEPARTMENT students and faculty and staff at North Carolina State University, to encourage leadership, and to acquaint students and the community with the scope of Food, Bioprocessing, and Nutrition Sciences.

Implementation To implement these objectives, the CLUB Board of Directors shall: Conduct programs that contribute to the knowledge and stimulate the thought and vision of members by means of speakers, demonstrations, field trips, visual aids, and opportunities to meet leaders in the profession; Conduct activities that encourage development of civic, social, and professional responsibility among members; Develop CLUB activities and programs that challenge the potential talents of members and encourage individual initiative and management responsibility through the planning and execution of CLUB functions; and Provide members the opportunity to develop skills in the organization and presentation of ideas and in the practice of parliamentary procedure.

Proposed By Law Change Section 3.2 Eligibility a.Active Members must attend one-half (1/2) of the CLUB meetings. b.Active Members are required to serve actively on at least one committee. c.Active Members must be Student Members of the Institute of Food Technologists. d.Active Members are required to work three (3), 3-hour shifts at the CLUB annual fundraiser, Dairy Bar. e.Students unable to fulfill the Dairy Bar work requirement may serve actively on a second committee to qualify for active membership in the CLUB. f.Active members may vote and hold office. g.No Active or Associate Member who meets the membership requirements of this section may be denied such membership on the basis of race, religion, sex, national origin, age, handicap, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status. h.Students unable to fulfill the above mentioned requirements may appeal their status with the CLUB Board of Directors on a case-by-case basis. i. Active Members are required to participate in one activity of public service or outreach
