Program Objectives * To expand opportunities for youth to benefit from sports skills instruction, engage in sports competition and improve their physical fitness. * To help young people acquire good health practices, to help them become better citizens, and to acquaint them with career and educational opportunities by utilizing the personnel and facilities of institutions of Higher education. * To enable the institutions and their personnel to participate more fully in 4 community life and in the solution of community problems. * To provide a combination of employment and on- the-job training in sports instruction and administration. * To serve areas in the major metropolitan centers of the United States and other areas of need, within the limits of program resources.

Attendance (22-25 days). 2. Active participation in all aspects of the NYSP program including enrichment and swimming. 3. Positive behavior and participation in the NYSP program. 4. Enthusiastic skills practice sessions…every day. 5. Miss no more than three (3) days of the program. Adhere to all policies, procedures, guidelines, etc. of The National 6. Youth Sports Program at UNLV.
