Introduction "Rainforests cover less than two percent of the Earth's surface, yet they are home to some 50 to 70 percent of all life forms on our planet. The rain forests are quite simply, the richest, oldest, most productive and most complex ecosystems on Earth"

Rainforest Prompt Mission: You were hired by Save Our Planet to be the spokesperson for the protection of the tropical rainforest. You must persuade global companies and organizations that destruction of the rainforests has a negative impact on the world. Method: You must convince global companies of the dangers of destruction of the rainforest by writing a persuasive letter to a company or politician. To prepare for the prompt, you must gather facts from “Lungs of the World” concerning animals, plants, indigenous people, environmental concerns and /or facts that show the rainforest is a unique biome that must be saved. As you read, you are to take notes. These notes will be used to form the paragraphs of your prompt. Mandatory format: Your prompt must have an introductory paragraph, three or more supportive paragraphs, and a concluding paragraph.
