Inside Zone 1.Can be Run with or w/out Motion. 2.Great Compliment with Rocket / Jet Motion –MAKES THE ROCKET / JET BETTER!!!! –FORCES DEFENCES TO STAY IN THE BOX!!!! 3.Sound scheme vs. Def Fronts that like to Stunt. 4.Allows Double Teams at the Point of Attack. 5.High Percentage Run. 6.Allows you to work 1 scheme that can account for all Fronts. (More time on 1-Thing) 7.Can be run from Gun or Pistol.

Alignments / Splits / Back’s Read QB = Toes at 3 ½ Yds. Ball Carrier: Pistol = Toes at 5 Yds. Gun = Heals on the QB’s Toes OL Splits = Vary according to Double Teams Responsibilities. Back’s Read = First Down Lineman Past Center. (Should have a PRIMARY / SECONDARY Read)

QB Footwork / Back Motions Pistol = Reverse Out (have changed to Front Out) (as if Rocket), Execute Exchange and carry out Fake. Gun = Execute Exchange as Back comes Flat across. (Do Not Step Up). Run Naked out the Backend. Motions must be Executed as though actually running Rocket / Jet!!!!

Back’s Steps Gun: –Open Flat to receive Mesh. –Carry for 1 Steps past Mesh and then Jump L Cut to Get North and South or press PST Inside Hip. Pistol - Open, Cross Over, and Roll Down Hill. - Don’t be Too Quick.

Zone Double Teams Playside Footwork!!!! Drills –Two-Man Double Teams (Chutes) –Half-Line Covered - Use Tight / Wide Footwork depending on DLineman’s Tech. –Defender Stays Head Up / Outside – Treat as Base Drive Block. –Defender is Aligned or Slants Inside – Use Inside Fore Arm / Flipper and Get a High Knee Vertically. Uncovered – Bucket Step to Open Your Mid-Line to Opponents Near Hip. –If Hip comes to me – Transition to Base Drive Block –If Hip works away – Transition to Duck Tech. to 2nd Level. –If Hip Stays – Blow it up and Get Square to 2nd Level ASAP.

Zone Double Teams vs. Outside Tech. V B V B DL Slants Inside: Covered OL – Zone Step. Shoulder / Flipper with Inside Arm. Develop High Knee and Press Vertical w/ hips to PS Gap. Uncovered OL – Bucket Step and Drag. Transition to Drive Block vs. Slant. DL Stays Outside: Covered OL – Use Base Drive Tech. Uncovered OL – Bucket Step and Drag. Square up to 2 nd Level once Hip disappears.
