A BRIEF HISTORY Denholm Barwil Limited (DBL) is a joint venture between Denholm Logistics Limited, part of the J&J Denholm group of companies, and Barwil Agencies A/S owned by Wilhelmsen Ships Service. In June 2004, Barwil Agencies A/S acquired a 40% share in the port and marine services division of Denholm Logistics and Denholm Barwil Limited was born. In September 2004, DBL acquired Falmouth Maritime Agencies, G. C. Fox (SW) Ltd and Fox Shipping. In December 2006, DBL announced their acquisition of the port agents South Coast UK from international minerals group Imerys. In August 2007 DBL acquired the Port Agency business of W. D. Tamlyn & Co. in Plymouth. W. D. Tamlyn & Co. is a well respected name in the industry synonymous with quality service.
