Definition! Population Distribution- the way in which people are spread out across the world. This distribution is uneven and changes over time. Patterns of population distribution tend to be uneven. For example, in the UK there are more people living in the south-east of England and London than in Wales. It follows that populations are sparse (widely spread out) or dense (crowded close together) in different locations, regions and countries. sparsedense
