Senate Proposed 302(b) Allocations House Proposed 302(b) Allocations  302(b) allocations represent the amount each subcommittee will have to spend on all the programs under its purview.  The Senate’s FY 2013 Transportation-HUD 302(b) allocation is $53.4 billion, $2 billion less than in FY  The proposed 302(b) allocation for Labor, Health and Human Services, and Education is $157.7 billion.  The House Appropriations Committee released its 302(b) proposed allocations on April 24 th.  The House’s FY 2013 Transportation-HUD 302(b) allocation is $ billion, $6 billion less than in FY  The proposed 302(b) allocation for Labor, Health and Human Services, and Education is $ billion. $6.5 billion less than FY 2012.

 Great work on calling Senator Durbin, member of the Senate Appropriations T-HUD Subcommittee  The Subcommittee proposed a funding level of $2.15B for McKinney-Vento, a $245 M INCREASE.  On April 19 th, the Senate full Appropriations Committee approved a FY’2013 funding bill for HUD which included: › $2.15B for McKinney- Vento Homeless Assistance Grants › Still $80M below President’s Request

 With elections looming and such a vast difference between the House and Senate 302(b) proposed spending levels for Transportation-HUD, ($1.794 billion), there will likely be continuing resolutions to keep government running throughout the fall.  Be sure and attend SHPA Legislative Committee calls and look to the Monday Memo for important advocacy action alerts.
