Each radio has been pre- programmed with all 5 NPSPAC interoperability repeater channels. Each PSAP will be equipped with a console wireline control to the NPSPAC repeater in its area Each PSAP will be equipped with a wireline control to the “8CALL” NPSPAC repeater at the Centralized Site # 1 Each PSAP will be equipped with a wireline control to vhf “Texas Law 2” site in its area Each PSAP will be equipped with a wireline control to vhf ”Texas Law 3” site in its area

Cameron County - Office of Emergency Management RADIO SYSTEMS TO LEVEL 4 City - County - State - Federal VHF / 800 Radio Interoperability Monitored and Managed by Dispatchers at 9 Public Safety Answering Points In Cameron County Base on the TICP MOU BORDER PROTECTION INITIATIVE # 1 # 4 # 3 # 2 OPERATION Dispatcher at any PSAP receives a Base Station, Mobile or Portable Radio call from any 800 user on “8CALL” or any VHF user on “Texas Law 2”. Dispatcher instructs 800 users to go to “8TAC1”, “8TAC2”, “8TAC3” OR “8TAC4” depending on the geographic area of the emergency event. Dispatcher instructs each VHF user to go to “Texas Law 3” for the emergency event. Dispatcher will patch “8TAC1”, “8TAC2”, “8TAC3” OR “8TAC4” to “Texas Law 3” for interoperability in the coverage area during the emergency event. Dispatchers will not patch “8CALL” or “TEXAS LAW 2” to any channel. These are set aside as calling channels only. The dispatcher will disable the patch at the end of each emergency event to help eliminate possible interference issues.
