 21. A blog is an online journal that can be edited by posting new entries.  22. A wiki is one or more pages that have the collaborative work of many authors.  23. A discussion board is a tool that allows users to communicate online by reading and /or posting messages or threads about a particular topic.  24. The writer of a blog is known as blogger.  25. Blog can be on politics, relationships, and daily observations.

 26. A wiki can only be edited by one person at a time. STUDY ETIQUETTES RULES FOR BLOGS, WIKIS, & DISCUSSION BOARD:  Use complete sentences in your postings and replies. You will not get credit for one word responses.  Be sure to proofread and check grammar and spelling BEFORE you submit the posting.  NEVER post anything that is personal about yourself or others. Be considerate and kind to classmates.  Remember that ALL of your classmates and your TEACHER will read your responses. The postings are public like a newspaper.   Make sure you are posting under the appropriate heading or thread.

 Include an appropriate subject line on your thread and reply posts. The subject line should give the reader an idea of what the post is about.   It is easy for messages to be misinterpreted since you are not able to see the person’s facial expressions or body language; therefore, choose your words carefully. Consider how you would feel.  Remember to read what has previously been posted by others to avoid repeating comments.  Be brief when posting. Since reading others’ comments can be very time consuming, try to be straight to the point.  Cite your references/sources if you use quoted material in your post.

 Examples: fingers curved and upright over home row keys  Wrists should be low, not touching table or keyboard  Sit comfortable with body erect, feet on the floor.
