Richmond Dairies draws milk from Queensland and New South Wales Direct Supply Farms Arrangements with other Processors Products are exported to world markets 2 WHO ARE WE?

Operations heavily reliant on steam from LPG fuelled boilers Cost of fuel substantially higher than our primary competitors in Victoria Northern New South Wales dairy industry facing difficulty competing with other regions 3 ENERGY

In addition to cost reduction, Richmond Dairies believes natural gas will result in a significant reduction in Greenhouse Gas emissions Reduction in secondary emissions from processing, compressing and transport Cogeneration a possible option in the future 4 METGASCO AGREEMENT

Richmond Dairies wishes to carry out operations in the most environmentally sustainable manner possible Energy from renewable sources not a current option Community concerns regarding the CSG industry 5 RICHMOND DAIRIES’ BELIEF

Debate on the CSG industry should be based on fact – not hysteria Regulatory requirements to be addressed before gas is supplied 6 RICHMOND DAIRIES’ BELIEF (cont.)

The CSG industry and long term community involvement Lasting community legacies New South Wales gas for New South Wales industry 7 RICHMOND DAIRIES’ BELIEF (cont.)
