Stewardship Ministry A Foundational Approach Creating & Nurturing Your Culture Start with Leadership (Staff, Council, Ministry Teams) Start with Leadership (Staff, Council, Ministry Teams) Acknowledge and celebrate your models of generosity Acknowledge and celebrate your models of generosity Create mentoring opportunities Create mentoring opportunities Don’t assume anything – embrace the spectrum of giving Don’t assume anything – embrace the spectrum of giving The Tithing dilemma The Tithing dilemma Don’t go into default mode Don’t go into default mode

THE MAIN POINT Establishing and growing a culture of generosity takes intentional and unapologetic effort. We never arrive at this place and rarely stay in that place once we think we have arrived. Most importantly: Stewardship is not about the church’s need for money but the believer’s need to experience the joy of giving themselves away and constantly inviting other people into that opportunity.
