1.8 million people living with HIV in 2006 were affected by conflict, disasters or displacement representing 5.4% of global total Number of people displaced persons have increased by 24.2% therefore persons living with HIV/AIDS has significantly increased

GAPs Children and Adolescent below the age of 18 years constitute 50% of the refugee population in had the highest forced displacement figures since to 1989 Globally 15% of all women living with HIV aged 15 years or older are young women years old (880 million globally are years old) Gay Men and MSM are 19 times more likely to be living with HIV than general population

GAPs HIV prevalence among female sex workers is 13.5 times greater than among all women aged years. HIV prevalence among sex workers 12 times higher than among general population 45% of adolescent girls report that their first sexual experience was forced. Young women who experience intimate partner violence are 50% more likely to acquire HIV than women who have not

Across the globe, violence perpetrated against sex workers is common and associated with an increased risk of acquiring HIV. It also deter sex workers from seeking health services Discrimination towards sex workers is nearly universal Very high levels of physical, psychological or sexual violence against gay men and other men who have sex with men have been reported across the world Transgender people experience social exclusion and Marginalization because of the way they express their gender Identity, they account to 0.1% and 1.1% of reproductive age adults
