A new space law framework work was approved on 12th of June. Major structural change in Japan's space program from "strictly peaceful purpose"(1969) to "national security" Strategic Space Development Headquarters was organized in August. New Space Agency organized within one year from "MEXT" to "Cabinet" Space Basic Plan will be established on May, Commercial-based space technologies promoted from "development" to "need and utilization" Changes with a New Space Law
