Why is it that change is inevitable….. except from a vending machine? How much deeper would the oceans be without sponges? If you think nobody cares if you're alive, try missing a couple of car payments. What did the Guru say to the hot dog vendor? “Make me one with everything”. What happens if you get scared half-to-death….. twice? If vegetarians eat vegetables, what do humanitarians eat? You made it to heaven and God sneezes. What do you say?

God’s job performance has trouble measuring up to many Americans‘ expectations, according to a poll by Public Policy Polling. Only 52 percent of Americans approve of God’s job performance. The polling question that prompted this curious response was, "If God exists, do you approve or disapprove of its performance?” Poll: 52 percent approve of God’s job performance By John Blake, CNN (CNN) – If you think voters are in a cranky mood over politics, a new poll suggests that some of the dissatisfaction may run deeper. 1. Capturing God’s Heart: Godly Sorrow 2 Corinthians 7:8-11 Even if I caused you sorrow by my letter, I do not regret it. Though I did regret it — I see that my letter hurt you, but only for a little while— 9 yet now I am happy, not because you were made sorry, but because your sorrow led you to repentance. For you became sorrowful as God intended and so were not harmed in any way by us. 10 Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death. 11 See what this godly sorrow has produced in you: what earnestness, what eagerness to clear yourselves, what indignation, what alarm, what longing, what concern, what readiness to see justice done. At every point you have proved yourselves to be innocent in this matter. 2 Corinthians 7:8-11 Even if I caused you sorrow by my letter, I do not regret it. Titus 2:11-14 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. 12 It teaches us to say "No" to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, 13 while we wait for the blessed hope — the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, 14 who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good. 2 Peter 2:20-21 If they have escaped the corruption of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and are again entangled in it and overcome, they are worse off at the end than they were at the beginning. 21 It would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than to have known it and then to turn their backs on the sacred command that was passed on to them. Launch out and do something radical for God to learn what he wants you to learn. Listen, then respond, to God’s promptings to draw us closer to him. Praise him through the Psalms (i.e. read them aloud meaningfully). Pray until you detect a change in your heart Be so phenomenally moved by Jesus’ love of people, that it displaces any discomfort you may have about sharing the gospel and your life with others who don’t yet follow Jesus. Be desperate for closeness to God (Ps 42:1-2 As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God?) Walk through Matt 26 and 27 as Jesus undergoes the trials that culminate in his death on the cross. Launch out and do something radical for God to learn what he wants you to learn.
