Some events in the book Greg and Rowley`s friendship falls apart. Greg sees Heather Hills at the town pool, the older sister of Holly Hills, who Greg “sort of likes”, and “hangs out” with her for the next few days. Greg and Rowley see a movie about a hand that kills people, and Greg gets worried that the hand will get HIM next. After their breakup, Greg and Rowley go on a vacation together to the beach. Greg and his Dad are REALLY excited about the last”Lil` Cutie” coming out in the newspaper.
Some events in the book Before their friendship collapses, the two friends start a lawn business but don`t have much luck. Greg REALLY wants to ride a rollercoaster called the Cranium Shaker, a ride that Rodrick has rode many times. Greg`s mom starts a club called “Reading is fun”.
Some events in the book Greg`s mom takes him to the Bombshells Beauty Salon, where his mom and grandma get their hair done, and where grandma gets tabloids. Greg`s dad gets the family a dog. Greg and Rowley do a video game tournament where whoever the winner is they get a million dollars.
Problem The main thing Greg wants to do this summer is to go on a vacation to the beach and ride the Cranium Shaker. But the reason the Heffleys don`t go is because they can`t afford it. But Greg`s mom says one they`ll look back to this as the “best summer ever”.
Solution The summer ends for Greg Heffley, and school starts up in a few days, and he`s kind of relived it`s finally over.
