2.  Jeff Kinney is a well known author. He is an online game developer, designer, and a number one New York Times bestselling author. In 2009, Jeff was named one of the New York Times 100 most influencer people in the world. Jeff Kinney has made many books and this is one of the best. He has made a full series of Diary of a Wimpy Kid.

3.  In the beginning of the book Greg thinks about going into 6 th grade and not being cool. He is worried about being bullied and not having friends. Greg has a friend named Rowley. Rowley is kind of lame and Greg thinks he can make both of them cool. He tries many things. Greg gets Rowley new clothes to wear and teaches him what to say. Greg is not cool himself but he thinks he is.

4.  In the middle of the book Rowley and Greg get in a fight. Greg thinks he doesn’t need Rowley and doesn't want to be friends anymore. Rowley is sad but agrees. Greg broke Rowley's arm on accident and then everyone thought that Rowley was really cool. Greg wanted to be cool too and put a cast on. Everyone thought Greg was weird and didn’t like him.

5.  At the end of the book Rowley is mad at Greg and is happy about his new life. Greg feels bad and asks for Rowley's forgiveness. Rowley forgives him and they become friends again. Rowley isn’t really cool anymore but he has his best friend again Greg. Greg learned about being nice. Greg also learned that he has to be truthful.
