HOW SECURE ARE YOU?  What do you have a password for?  Think of reasons why you need to have strong passwords that are hard for other people to guess  Why should you not share your passwords with other people?  Password Q&A activity sheet

Perfect passwords checklist  use letters and numbers  use a minimum of 8 characters  don’t contain any personal information  use characters like brackets, &, or %  use a mixture of capitals and lower case letters  use a sentence or a line from a song instead of just one word  only use the first letters of that sentence  use different languages  will be easy for me to remember  I have different passwords for my online accounts  I will change my passwords again within the next 6 months

JOE’S STORY  Who bullied Joe?  Kim, Kim’s close friends, Joe’s friends, others on bus, anyone who was involved in sharing and didn’t pass on to an adult  Why did it all start, what did Joe do wrong?  He didn’t do anything wrong, he just answered a question right at school  Was there anything illegal about what happened?  Yes, being involved in serious bullying and sharing or creating hateful messages/pages is classed as harrassment and can be reported to the police

JOE’S STORY  Who could have stopped it or helped?  Kim, Kim’s close friends, Joe’s friends, others on bus, anyone who was involved in sharing or Joe himself!  What could Joe have done?  Talked to an adult, reported online, talked to his friends about how it upset him, reported to police (save messages)  Who helped Joe to sort it out?  His mum, adults can help to change things that you might not feel confident enough to change yourself  Do you think Joe was silly to be that upset by it?  I don’t. At that age, school and friends are a huge part of your life and if they go wrong, it’s ok to be bothered. But it’s also ok to tell people that you are too.

WHAT SHOULD I DO?  There are many ways of reporting things online and many people you can talk to about things which upset or worry you or other people.  DO speak to a trusted adult and/or report using the in app features e.g. Click CEOP button/report abuse  DON’T send on any photo’s or videos that you think are part of any cyberbullying  DO make sure your personal info is secure  DO share what you’ve learnt today
