Sometimes I get upset, and that’s okay

Sometimes I get upset

It’s okay because everyone gets upset sometimes

Some things are okay to do when I’m upset Say how you feel Get a cold drink Take deep breaths Say a prayer Listen to music Watch BrainPOPs “I feel frustrated!”

Some things are not okay to do when I’m upset I do not hit anything when I’m upset (except maybe a pillow) I do not yell or use my outside voice when I’m upset I do not fall on the floor when I’m upset

When I do something that is not okay for me to do when I’m mad, I get a reminder Reminders help me remember that this is not okay

Everyone gets upset sometimes I will do things that are okay to do, so I can calm down when I’m upset Say how you feel Get a cold drink Take deep breaths Say a prayer Listen to music Watch BrainPOPs “I feel frustrated!”
