Welcome to the new Penguin Exhibit at the Woodland Park Zoo. It opened mid May, This is a tremendous improvement over the previous exhibit which I believe had been there almost from the time the zoo originally opened many, many years ago.

This is one of three main viewing areas

There are two bubble view ports that extend about 2 ½ feet into the pool. It’s quite a view from inside as the penguins seem to swim right around you.

As I approached the third viewing area, a family saw me with my camera and ran to pose … how sweet.
