History The Peace and Freedom Party is a ballot-listed minor political party Founded June 23, 1967 Party name was created by David Kolodney Peace and freedom party expanded due to unhappiness with Democratic Party’s support for the war in Vietnam Democratic Party’s failure to support the civil rights movement added to the peace and freedom party popularity.

Political Leaders The Peace and Freedom Party endorsed Ralph Nader for President in the 2008 U.S. Presidential election Matt Gonzalez (above) ran for vice president as the running mate of candidate Ralph Nader (right).
