Beautiful Nebraska Written by Jim Fras Our State Song!

Jim Fras came from Russia. He moved to Lincoln, Nebraska in He was a professional entertainer. He thought Nebraska was so beautiful that he wrote this song. He wrote it in about 1 hour!! He died on Sept. 9, 2002 in Fairview, Nebraska. He was 77. Beautiful Nebraska became our official state song on June 21, 1967.
