Minister of Small Groups - Connect Summary of position: He is responsible for leading our small group ministry (this includes FBS and any groups that meet during the week), as well as, our membership process (this includes outreach to nonmembers and those in the community, processing decisions, contacting membership candidates, conducting class 101, and helping new members get assimilated into the church. Through this role, he will help people better CONNECT to one another.

Key Expectations -Teach class 101 at least six times per year -Follow-up with each person who takes class 101 and signs covenant. Move them to next step. -Be the POC for people interested in membership and make the follow-up assignments for The Sunday Report -Develop ways, in conjunction with the rest of the staff, to reach out into the community. -Oversee the promotion of events to the community

Key Expectations (cont.) -Oversee all adult groups at the church: FBS, Wednesday night groups, and any offsite groups. -Provide training for all adult group leaders. -Evaluate each group with the group leader on a quarterly basis. -Help group leaders identify, equip, and empower new leaders. -Establish new groups: seek to keep the size of groups small.

Through these classes, he will equip member with habits to grow in Christ-likeness (201), help members discover their SHAPE for ministry (301), and train members to live daily on mission for Jesus (401). He will also oversee various adult ministries as the need arises

Key Expectations -Teach classes (train others to teach classes) several times a year. -Enlist base coaches for to assist in teaching, promotion, recruiting, and follow-up Meet with base coaches regularly. -Adequately promote classes Provide follow-up after 201: make sure everyone is connected to a small group.
