Sinners are in Trouble! In trouble, Peter cried for help, Matt 14:30 Sinners learn they are “in trouble” (lost in sin) by the gospel, 1 Cor 1:21 Gospel reveals grace and salvation, Col 1:5-6 Baptism’s place in sinner’s salvation is an earnest appeal to God for grace, Eph 2:8-9

Baptism is an Appeal Made by sinners to God, Acts 2:21 Call on name of the Lord: Invoke, cry out Explained and obeyed, Acts 2:36-41 Without making this appeal you will not be saved, Mark 16:16 Acts 2:38: FOR (eis: towards, in order to) Acts 16:30-34: SAVED…Heard…Believed…Repented …Baptized…Rejoiced, having believed in God
