Attitudes and actions that garner God’s blessings

What is this series about? An examination of 21 attitudes and behaviors identified in the New Testament as “blessed” A look at Christian conduct and characteristics that will enrich our lives with lasting joy A look at the condition of those who lack these qualities

Revelation 22:14 Outline The blessings of the blood of the Lamb How to wash in the blood The cursed life: the unwashed

Sounds pretty good…how do I get washed in the blood? The blessings of the blood of the Lamb Sin-forgiving power (Matt. 26:28) Saving power (Rom. 5:9) Justifying power (Romans 5:9) Sanctifying power (Heb. 10:29; 13:12) Washing power (Rev. 22:14) Kingdom-entrance power (Rev. 22:14) Conscience-cleansing power (Heb. 9:14) Life-giving power (John 6:53) Church-purchasing power (Acts 20:28) Sounds pretty good…how do I get washed in the blood?

Can it be made any clearer? How to wash in the blood of the Lamb Power of Jesus’ blood: Forgives sins (Mt. 26:28) Saves (Rom. 5:9) Justifies (Rom. 5:9) Sanctifies (Heb. 10:29) Washes (Rev. 22:14) Kingdom entrance (Rev. 22:14) Clean conscience (Heb. 9:14) Gives spiritual life (Jn. 6:53) Church purchase (Acts 20:28) Power of baptism: Acts 2:38 Mark 16:16 1 Cor. 6:11 (*Acts 18:8) 1 Cor. 6:11 Acts 22:16 John 3:5 1 Pet. 3:21 Rom. 6:4 Acts 2:41; 1 Cor. 12:13 ↔ Can it be made any clearer?

The cursed life: those who are not washed Most denominations specifically teach that baptism is not necessary. Yet they cannot find a Scripture that suggests another way in which a person contacts the blood of Christ. If you do not contact the blood of Christ, in the manner God has specified (baptism), then you do not receive the blessings of the power of the blood. Some denominations teach baptism for reasons other than contacting the blood. Such a baptism provides no spiritual benefit. Cursed are those who are not washed in the blood of the Lamb, for they are: unforgiven, unsaved, unjustified, unsanctified, unwashed, burdened with guilt, spiritually dead, without a testimony of life, and outside of His Church. Will you instead choose to be washed in His blood?

Summary The power of Christ’s blood is full of blessings We contact the blood in water baptism, and thereby receive all the blessings of His blood The cursed life: there is no other way to contact the blood. The unbaptized, and those who are baptized for reasons other than to contact the blood, receive no benefit, but remain in their cursed state. “Unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God” (Jn. 3:5)

Believe in Jesus Christ (John 14:1; Acts 16:30-34) That He died for your sins and was resurrected (1 Cor. 15:3-4) Repent of your past sins (Acts 17:30; 2 Peter 3:9) Commit yourself to holy conduct (Acts 26:30; Titus 2:11-12) Confess your faith (Matthew 10:32) Declare your belief that Jesus is God’s Son (Acts 8:37) Receive Baptism (Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:41; Acts 8:12) Baptism puts you into Christ (Romans 6:3-5; Galatians 3:27) Baptism is for the forgiveness of sins (Acts 2:38; Acts 22:16) Baptism saves you (1 Peter 3:21) Be faithful until death (Revelation 2:10) Trust His grace and obey His commands (Hebrews 5:9) Or face the retribution due to those who do not obey 2 Thessalonians 1:8; Romans 2:8; John 3:36

Pray without ceasing…Practice what Jesus preached…Prepare for our next assembly
