LEADERSHIP MATTERS

“I’m going to church.”

“I go to Hope.”

“We bring nothing to the table.” Ephesians 3: Of this gospel I was made a minister according to the gift of God’s grace, which was given me by the working of his power. 8To me, though I am the very least of all the saints, this grace was given, to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ, 9and to bring to light for everyone what is the plan of the mystery hidden for ages in God who created all things, 10so that through the church the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly places. 11This was according to the eternal purpose that he has realized in Christ Jesus our Lord, 12in whom we have boldness and access with confidence through our faith in him.

What’s the point of church? To be a vehicle for God to show his glory to the universe!

The Vision of Hope Community Church is: To honor God by helping as many people as possible become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.

What do we mean by fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ?

What do we mean by fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ? It’s not a class to be completed.

What do we mean by fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ? It’s not a class to be completed. It’s not assumed because you come Sunday morning, attend a small group, come to a Bible study, give money, serve frequently, receive communion, etc.

What do we mean by fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ? It’s not a class to be completed. It’s not assumed because you come Sunday morning, attend a small group, come to a Bible study, give money, serve frequently, receive communion, etc. It’s not just for leaders or those skilled in areas of Christian ministry.

What do we mean by fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ? It’s not praying a prayer to receive Jesus into lives and hearts.

What do we mean by fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ? It’s not praying a prayer to receive Jesus into lives and hearts. It’s not just knowing about God or about what God wants for this world, people, and the church.

What do we mean by fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ? It’s not praying a prayer to receive Jesus into lives and hearts. It’s not just knowing about God or about what God wants for this world, people, and the church. It’s not about becoming a member at this church or any church.

We believe a fully devoted follower is someone who God has brought to new life through belief in Jesus Christ and God is continuously growing in maturity through his Spirit, the Word, and other believers to make them a continual light to the world.

The DNA Paul passed to Timothy 2 Timothy 2:1-2 1 You then, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. 2 And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable men who will also be qualified to teach others.

Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers.

Impacting a City!

Why Start New Churches? “I begin this book with a categorical statement that will seem bold and brash to some at first sight, even though it has been well substantiated by research over the past two or three decades: The single most effective evangelistic methodology under heaven is planting new churches. ” ~ C. Peter Wagner [in Church Planting for a Greater Harvest]
