. Exceptional Teachers Recognized By Exceptional Teachers Tracy Morton, Britt Morton and Chad Ashley I would like to nominate Tracey Morton, Britt Morton, and Chad Ashley. I have never seen an physical education department work as hard and dedicate as many hours to the education of students as this crew. Many people may not realize the countless hours you three put into lessons and instruction of our students at Hampton High. The lessons you are teaching extend so much more than a book. You guys had students do a Good Deed project that help to demonstrate to students that we have to give without the expectation of receiving. On top of coaching, training, mentoring, teaching your dedication is an inspiration to myself and others. Thank you for all that you do. Michelle Huffman

. Exceptional Teachers Recognized By Exceptional Teachers Chelsea Wooten I would like to recognize Chelsea Wooten. I am right next door and I am watching her put together her first play from scratch. She has been working day and night, shopping for tools, bringing in lumber for sets, buying costumes, building sets, getting students to learn lines and running through performances. As you can see no small task. I also wanted to ask everyone to come out and support our Drama classes by attending a performance of “Sleepy Hallow” next week. Nan Wyatt

. Exceptional Teachers Recognized By Exceptional Teachers Linda Wright Linda Wright is pulled in 5,000 directions each day as HHS’ bookkeeper, and she always drops everything to help a co-worker out who is in need. She runs a tight ship with our finances here at HHS, and we truly have the best bookkeeper in Henry County. Thank you for all of your help in making HHS run smoothly! Craig melton I would like to nominate Linda Wright! You’re awesome! Thank you for all your support with Latino night and thank you for always having a smile in the morning, you help everybody in our Hampton family. Celia Tornero-Castellanos

. Exceptional Teachers Recognized By Exceptional Teachers Craig Melton I would like to nominate Craig Melton. We’re lucky to have you as our athletic director, you have always supported all coaches and have been an inspiration for us and our kids. Thank you for making the HAMPTON PRIDE real. Celia Tornero-Castellanos

. Exceptional Teachers Recognized By Exceptional Teachers Shaun Guillory, Heather Toliver and Roberts Sims I would like to recognize the other teachers in my studio: Shaun Guillory, Heather Toliver, and Robert Sims. All of them are solid, victorious, veteran teachers, and they are a great comfort to a green recruit like me! Stuart Kingsley

. Exceptional Teachers Recognized By Exceptional Teachers Rene Owen I want to nominate Renee Owen because she is the most helpful and supportive instructor I know. Not only does she have the Personalized Learning component for her students, she is incredible with technology. She is my personal “go to” person here at school. Because she is always so willing to share and support, I nominate her for this recognition. A true shining star in our midst!! midst!! Karen Camp

. Exceptional Teachers Recognized By Exceptional Teachers Reama Merhi and Monica Akins I would like to applaud Ms. Merhi and Ms. Akins for all their help in my lesson planning and making each day easier as I progress in my teaching career. Jarvis Turner

. Exceptional Teachers Recognized By Exceptional Teachers Brenda Slater She has integrated technology in a way that has benefitted all of the students in our classes. Students are able to work at their own pace which is really embarrassing our PL. Because of her I have been able to help out in other ways around the school. Her methods and planning has helped me to make the transition to the GA curriculum and helped me to keep my resource students up with the rest of the classes. Amy Somerville

. Exceptional Teachers Recognized By Exceptional Teachers Guidance Department I would like to nominate all of our guidance department. They deal with angry parents, crying children, teenage drama, teacher frustrations, scheduling conflicts, studio accommodations, preparing students for college and a bunch of other things I would not want to deal with on a regular basis. The department is always willing to help teachers and students. This guidance department is more active and involved than any other guidance department I have ever worked with and most importantly they are always smiling. Kristina O’Keefe

. Exceptional Teachers Recognized By Exceptional Teachers Karen Camp I definitely want to nominate Karen Camp. We all know that Karen works harder than any person in the whole, wide world, but my appreciation for her goes way past that. Karen has been a mentor, an inspiration, a sounding board, and an amazing friend to me since she hired me last year at UGHS. This is a woman who is utterly selfless – she is full of love, kindness, and patience for her students, her family, and her colleagues. I appreciate that she acknowledges my work as a teacher and makes me feel like what I’m doing is special. She makes me feel heard, valued, and appreciated. She makes everyone feel that way. Kathryn Bailey
