Jesus – Telling Parables Based on Alive-O 4: Term 1, Lesson 10 Refer to Teacher’s Book pp. 111-126

Day Three: Bible Search In the Bible Search you will be offering the children an opportunity to find the following parables in Luke’s Gospel: The Parable of the Sower (Lk 8:4-8) The Parable of the Lamps (Lk 8:16-18) The Parable of the Yeast (Lk 15:1-7) The Parable of the Lost Sheep (Lk 15:1-7) The Parable of the Lost Coin (Lk 15:8-9)

The Parable of the Lost Coin Luke 15:8-9

Jesus told the people another story: What will a woman do if she has ten silver coins and loses one of them?

Jesus continued… She will light a lamp,

…sweep the floor,

…and look carefully

…until she finds it.

Then she will call in her neighbours and friends and say, Let’s celebrate! I’ve found the coin I lost.

God’s angels are happy when even one person turns to him. Jesus said, In the same way, God’s angels are happy when even one person turns to him.
