“ex officio protection” (Reg. EU no. 1151/2012, art. 13)  ICQRF is the national Authority responsible for taking steps to prevent or stop the unlawful use of protected GIs  ICQRF has established “the ex officio Protection Unit”  This Unit sends notifications to/receive them from others European designated Authorities Main international activities #2
