Time of emigration The Cubans fled in the late 50‘s and early 60‘s. About one million people left their homes.

The reason The reason why the Cubans fled to the USA was Fidel Castro who became the dictator of Cuba. Fidel Castro When he came to power, he started a communist regime in Cuba. Until today, he‘s at power.
