What GA portion goes for... General Assembly meetings: biennial GA committees – COGA. – Nominating. – GA PJC. – ACC. – Advisory Committee on Litigation – Stated Clerk Nominating Committee. Pastor search process.

What GA portion goes for (cont.) Immigration lawyer. Presbyterian Historical Society. Polity advice. Moderator’s expenses. Statistics. Mid-council relations. Publications.

What GA portion goes for (cont.) Leadership: Moderators conference, polity conference, CPM training. Ecumenical relations. Dues to: – World Council of Churches. – National Council of Churches. – World Communion of Reformed Churches. OGA: Salaries of Gradye Parsons and his staff, heat/light/utilities for Presbyterian Center. Travel for all GA entities.

Synod Portion Rent at Union Seminary. Part-time executive/stated clerk. Part-time office manager. Part-time accountant.

Presbytery Portion: What it goes for... Salaries of: – Jim Moseley – Reid Beveridge – Donna Scully – Jackie Taylor (half, other half by Speer) Rent Utilities. Accounting/bookkeeping Administrative Commissions (other than Speer)

Where it goes... Judicial process (PJC and investigating committees) Meeting expenses. Office expenses: Postage, equipment, etc. Litigation. Staff travel.

NOTE on GA expenses PCUSA has a distinctly two-tracked budget: – Office of General Assembly portion (stated clerk and his staff). – Mission portion: Presbyterian Mission Agency operations, including education, congregational support, new churches, missionaries. Mission budget is nearly 5 times larger than OGA. NOTE: National staff has two bosses: OGA: Stated Clerk Gradye Parsons; PMA: Executive director Linda Valentine.
