ICT Faculty End User Computing Topic 1 Topic 2 Topic 3

ICT Faculty End User Computing Topic 1 Topic 2 Topic 3

ICT Faculty End User Computing WHAT DID THE STUDENTS THINK? “She gave us videos so that even if we don’t understand, when we are at our rooms, we can listen and learn.” “It was easier, because if we did not understand we could go back and re-watch the video.” “It helped us to study in advance so that we can be able to explain.” Videos are helpful because you can always check them whenever you are practicing at home, or wherever you are.” “It made us not to come to classes knowing that we have video classes. We can still catch up with what they did in class.”

ICT Faculty End User Computing MORE FEEDBACK “ It was good and interactive... Better understanding. ” “I learnt that working as a group is much better than working alone and getting stuck alone.” “Not everyone is willing to participate but working in a group is far better than working alone.” “The more I explain the better understanding.” “I did not forget the work that I did.” “The guy sitting next to me did not want to help me.”

ICT Faculty End User Computing RESULTS Last 2 years – nobody below 40%. Others also benefit. “All groups must use the videos so that all students can understand BIF the way we do” – Student feedback

ICT Faculty End User Computing CONCLUSION Except from teaching students the subject content only… Show them how to use the resources. When it is needed, they know how to use it. You can bring the horse to the water, the horse can only drink if he is thirsty and he know how to drink.
