IB Assessment Examinations are marked according to a set of criteria – a true international benchmark No scaling, no competition, no ranking All subjects are equally weighted 6 subjects from 6 discipline areas (3HL, 3SL) Narrow specialisation is not possible 7 points per subject + 3 points for EE and TOK (Total of 45 points) (ATAR conversion) There are failing conditions – no diploma, no ATAR Trinity Grammar School IB Information 2014

IB Assessment Grading scale – each subject is graded on the following scale: Up to an additional three bonus points may be earned from the Extended Essay and Theory of Knowledge. A candidate’s performance in each will fall into one of five bands.
