What do you know about our moon? The moon is the Earth’s only natural satellite. It was first visited in 1959 by the unmanned Soviet spacecraft Luna. The moon’s surface is mostly made up of cratered highlands & is covered with dust & rocks. It is directly exposed to solar winds because it has no atmosphere. Water in the form of ice was found in craters near its south pole.
