Instructions Click for: Creating a quizCreating a quiz Click for: Playing this quizPlaying this quiz

Creating a New Quiz Make Sure your are working in a.pptx (not a.ppsx). File > Save As Name your new quiz as you’d like. Change the subject of the quiz (first slide, bottom left). Change the category names if you wish (second slide, top row). Then go through each answer/question slide and enter the question (above) and the answer (in the box). Tip: double-clicking on the word question or answer will quickly select that word, and then you can just type. Then Save As again, using the PowerPoint Show (.ppsx) format. Open your PowerPoint Show when you want to play it, and it will immediately begin. Tip: keep the.pptx you created above on file, in case you want to make changes to it. Click to begin quiz >

Playing This Quiz Open your PowerPoint Show when you want to play it. Ask a student to choose a category and level. Click (or double-click) that number. After a student offers their response (phrased as a question), click (or double-click) the screen to reveal the correct question. Typically, if they get the question right they earn that much. If they get it wrong, they lose that much. But adapt this as necessary. Students can keep track of their own scores on paper. Double-click the house button to go back to the home board. Typically, if they get it right, they get to respond to another question. But you can also just go to each student in turn, or use some other method. New questions appear in yellow, finished questions appear in purple (but may take an extra turn to appear purple.) Tip: quickly review your preferred rules before starting. Press Escape to end the game (no need to save changes). Click to begin quiz >
