Community Priorities from the 18 th June Anti-Social Behaviour patrols in the Bidford area. 2.Burglary patrols in rural villages. 3.Speeding on the Stratford Road, Alcester.

Anti-Social Behaviour patrols in the Bidford area Since the last forum there have been 41 patrols in and around the Bidford area. Patrols have been based around High St, Marleigh Park, Westholme Court and Bidford Marina. PCSO Becky Morris will give a brief summary.

Burglary patrols in rural villages Since the last forum there have been 73 burglary patrols in rural villages. On 22/08/13 a 33 year old Alcester male was arrested for a burglary dwelling and a burglary shed. He is presently on remand. PCSO Ally Streatfield has set up a new NHW in Wilmcote. Ally will give a brief summary.

Speeding on the Stratford Rd, Alcester Since the last forum there have been 36 speed checks on the Stratford Road, Alcester. This coincided with a Force Tasking in August regarding speed checks and road safety advice. 73 vehicles stopped exceeding the speed limit and 22 breath tests carried out. 1 positive test. PCSO Andy Hyman will give a brief summary.

Suggested Priorities for the next 3 months (10 th September - 4 th December 2013) Priority 1: Burglary patrols in Bidford and surrounding villages. Priority 2: Speeding on the B4088 New Inn Lane. Priority 3: Speeding in Great Alne. Priority 4: Speeding on St. Faiths Road, Alcester. Priority 5: Anti-social behaviour in Wilmcote.

PROTECT YOUR SHEDS AND OUTBUILDINGS FROM BURGLARY Wherever possible do not store valuable items in sheds. Always lock your shed and garage and fit a good quality padlock. Install a shed alarm. Shackle large items such as bicycles and lawn mowers together and, if possible secure to a permanent fixture such as a cemented metal post. This will make it difficult for thieves to remove. Ladders and spades should also be attached to a secure fixture. These items are often used by thieves to gain access to properties. Do not leave unattended in gardens. Visibly mark all removable items such as lawnmowers, hedge trimmers and garden furniture with your postcode and house number. Alternatively use an ultra violet marker or property marking system such as SmartWater. Replace ordinary screws on outbuilding doors with non-return screws. Make a note of make/model/serial number of tools and bicycles. Obscure the windows of your shed/garage to prevent thieves seeing what you have inside.
