Building Learner Progression Project Aims: -Providing evidence of existing patterns of progression from FE into HE -Identifying key sectors which are critical to London’s economy Benefits: -Better information and understanding for working with prospective students and employers -A clearer understanding of progression onto HE from level 3 college programmes -Better understanding of specific growth sectors in London -Better signalling for potential course development to reflect London growth sectors

Conclusion Our work on this project BLP has taught us several things: Data is out there, but complex and often aspirational We will continue to work with UKCES and urge you to do the same Local is very important and regular contact with local council critical Professional and managerial demand will continue Begs the development of core and optional modules Government needs an industrial strategy * It’s time for a change – for FECs to refresh their own higher level skills strategy We’re here to help!!
