Speech Language Pathologists must have a Master’s degree,

and pass a national exam…

… in order to obtain a license to practice in South Carolina.

Speech Pathologists also earn national certification with a Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA…

upon completion of a clinical fellowship year.

They must also obtain teacher certification in order to practice in public schools.
